Abstract

. The widespread adoption of artificial intelligence technologies in managerial activities after 2022 has qualitatively changed the landscape of risks faced by organizational project offices. The article aims to systematize the risks of integrating artificial intelligence into project activities and to propose a multi-level system of mitigation strategies based on current international standards and regulatory requirements. The research is based on a comparative analysis of international standards (ISO/IEC 23894:2023, ISO/IEC 42001:2023, ISO/IEC 22989:2022), the European Union Regulation on Artificial Intelligence (EU AI Act, 2024), the PMBOK Guide 7th edition, analytical reports by the Project Management Institute, McKinsey Global Institute, Gartner, Deloitte, and scientific literature on algorithmic accountability and explainable artificial intelligence. Twelve key risks are systematized into four categories (technical, organizational, ethical, legal) with an assessment of the likelihood and impact of each; a multi-level mitigation model is developed based on the defence-in-depth principle, including technical, procedural, organizational, and regulatory controls; a set of risk indicators for regular monitoring is proposed. The results confirm the applicability of a comprehensive approach to managing artificial intelligence risks in project activities and provide reference points for further research.
